TAYMOUTH TOWNSHIP TAX COLLECTION
SUMMER 2024 (7/01/2024 – 9/16/2024)

The last day to pay Summer 2024 property taxes before the 1% monthly accrued late fee is Monday, September 16, 2024 (due to September 14th falling on a weekend). (MCL211.78a.)

Payment Methods:

  • Online – TAYMOUTHTOWNSHIP.COM (Electronic check flat fee rate is $1.95. Credit card service fee rate is 3.25% off of total being paid with rule of $2 minimum fee per transaction.) Paying using the Interactive Voice Recorder (IVR) adds $0.95 on top of the service charges.
  • Dop Box – In front of the Office doors it is secured and locked and checked every business day.
  • USPS, UPS, FEDEX, or Other CarrierDue to the mail delays, we can no longer honor postmarks.
  • Township Office – Monday – Fridays except holidays. Cash, check or credit card payments accepted. If paying by cash, please have the exact amount, or close to it as we cannot make lots of change:
    • Mondays – Thursdays 9:00AM – 5:00PM (closed Noon – 12:30 PM for lunch)
    • Fridays 7:00AM – NOON

Other Tax Information:

  • Examine your Tax Statement carefully. If there are errors, please contact the Taymouth Township Treasurer’s office at 989-624-4159 ext. 103, immediately.
  • 2024 Taxes: If not paid, you must pay them in addition to your Winter 2024 taxes. Summer taxes owing are not added to your winter bill.  Penalty of 1% per month will be added from September 17thon summer taxes only until they go delinquent with the Winter taxes to the County.  MCL 211.905b (9) and 211.44a (6).

NOTICE
TAYMOUTH TOWNSHIP
JULY BOARD OF REVIEW
July 15, 2024

Pursuant to the provisions of MCL 211.53b, the Taymouth Township Board of Review will meet on Monday, July 15th, 2024 at 9:00AM at the Taymouth Township Office, 4343 E. Birch Run Rd., Birch Run, MI 48415.
The purpose of this meeting is to correct clerical errors and/or mutual mistakes and to hear poverty exemption applications.  The Board of Review will also consider property owner petitions requesting qualified agricultural exemptions from the 18-mil school operating millage.
