Policy: Taymouth Township Sign Usage

Subject: Illuminated Color Electronic Messaging Sign

History: Taymouth Township Board approved the purchase of an Illuminated 25” x 100” Box Style Sign with Full Color Electronic Messaging. The Sign will replace the 2 existing signs located at the Taymouth Township Hall and Taymouth Fire Department. The sign was funded by The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds established by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

Approved: The sign will be made available to Taymouth Township Government, Fire Department, Library, Park, Community Churches, Civic Groups and Non-Profit Organizations.

Unapproved: Commercial Business, Political Endorsements, and Personal (Residential or Non-Residential) requests or any for Profit requests.

Application: Community Event Sign Application available from Township Office. Form must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the requested postings

Cost: No application fee or donations applicable to usage

Dispute: Unapproved sign requests must be submitted to Township Supervisor for presentation to Township board for consideration.
